KEG's Halloween Harvest - the Best Halloween Party Around!

The Dream:
KEG's dream includes an eco-friendly building with cold and dry storage areas, a certified kitchen and butchery, cheese making facilities, office and meeting space, and maybe even a little restaurant! With this on-site facility growers, consumers and chefs could meet on common ground; growers could process their goods into value added items, chefs and community leaders could hold workshops and special events, CSA members could learn to preserve and prepare their food, and KEG could move forward in our mandate to bridge the gaps between urban and rural, and increase public awareness about the issues surrounding Ontario's farms, farmers, and food through community education and good eating! The Plan:
1:00 – gates open
1:30 – Adam Chow starts to play (45 minute set); bus arrives from city 2:00 – activities start! hot house of horrors, pumpkin carving, kids face painting & crafts, kids' tractor pull, coffee sac races, apple bobbing... raffle and 50/50 opens 2:15 – Tricia Brubacher starts to play (45 minute set) 3:00 – hay bale races! 3:30 – Farm Style Auction with first Class auctioneer Tim Hodges 4:30 – Dinner is served! Toronto chefs feed us a first class meal using KEG pork, chicken and produce, and Scotch Mountain Meats lamb! - Magpie starts to play (45 minute set) 5:00 – (while eating) – kids’ costume parade and tricks 'n treats! - raffle and 50/50 close 5:15 – raffle and 50/50 draw, then carved pumpkins are lit! Dusk – Piano Burning! 7:00ish - Chinese Food set 1 (45 minute set) 8:00ish - Adam Chow, Adam Blair & Tricia Brubacher set 2 9:00 ish - Chinese Food set 2, to take us all home 10:00 - Bus leaves for Toronto The Raffle:
